Once again, faith brings us back to truth. Only this time let’s look at it from the perspective of the truth within our surroundings.
We can tell ourselves all day long that the world is fine and that things will be okay. We can be under delusions that we create that only others are experiencing chaos. But it’s just a delusion. Especially now. We’re all feeling the chaotic nature of the times and everything these times have brought to the forefront. Unless you just sit in a dark room all day, there’s no escaping it. And it’s hard. And it’s anxiety producing. And it’s scary. And we may be looking for something to grasp for.
And if that thing we’re grasping for is faith. Faith that things will get better, then we have no choice but to be honest about where things are right now. It doesn’t mean you have to go into a dark hole of despair. And it doesn’t even mean having to dig deep into your own brokenness (that’s for another day), but what it does mean is being able to recognize what is happening around you. If you want to access the faith to hold onto, this is the only authentic and lasting way.
I have faith that we are on our way to healing our world. While I see all that is broken, I also see all the work being done to heal it. Focus on truth. Focus on faith. Focus on the possibilities.
I love you all,
Gabi
