Inspiration by Dana Abraham

Psalm 119 sometimes can feel like the most elaborate psalm because it is made up of 22 prayers that correlate to the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. The energy of the words have their own transcendent power; when we speak them, they are keys we put in the door to unlock different states of consciousness. On a human level, it’s a little bit like deep cleaning the house; each letter gives us access to a different facet of ourselves to examine and potentially improve. It’s always enlightening to read the whole psalm or even pick a letter and focus on the prayer. Does it remind us of someone with whom we need to connect and show love? Does it challenge us to be better or more aware in a certain aspect of our lives? Where does the deep cleansing occur for you? Let the light of Psalm 119 reveal that which was hidden to be seen in full daylight – good or challenging, but always worthy of our attention.
