Give yourself the gift of rest today. Take a break. A break from all the shoulds, the coulds, and the have-to’s. Allow yourself to go with the flow of the day. Take it moment by moment and ask yourself in each moment, what do I WANT to do right now? Do I want to take a walk? Do I want to watch a show? Listen to a podcast? Do I want to nap? Do I want to bake a cake? Do I want to talk to a friend or family member? Get rid of any lists so that instead of crossing things off your list, you just get to add to it. Spending a day like this is one of my favorite things to do. I call it my adventure days. If you’re feeling extra adventurous, join forces with your loved one, and do it together.
However you spend your day, enjoy it. You deserve it. You’ve been working hard and now it’s time to let it all go and give yourself a gift.
